Aims
The aim of the proposed project is to assess the impact of physical activity (PA) and physical fitness on well-being in adolescent population. Partial aims will be to analyze relationships between volume and intensity of school PA, to analyze relationships between PA, physical inactivity and well-being and to indentify relationships between physical fitness, physical strain and well-being. Further to obtain new knowledge about relationships between school PA, daily PA and weekly PA in girls and boys.
Realization
The research sample will consist of a set of adolescents aged 14-18 years (assuming 200). Participant will be addressed through schools they attend, and whose administration will agree with the implementation of the proposed research. Participation in research is always voluntary and based on informed parental consent. Each participant will receive individual feedback on their measurements. PA will be monitored by pedometers (7 daily measurements) Yamax SW700 and simultaneously by accelerometers (4 daily measurements) ActiTrainer. Assessing the physical fitness will be performed through the online system Indares.com. More information about the PA of the participants will be collected through the online questionnaires in the online system Indares.com (IPAQ questionnaire to assess the level of habitual weekly PA; Motives for Physical Activities Measure-Revised (MPAM-R) questionnaire to assess motivation to PA; and WHO-5 Well-Being Index to assess mental well-being).
