Duration of the project

2012-2013

Aims

The aim of the proposed project is to assess the impact of PA on the activity of the autonomic nervous system and body composition in adolescent population.

Realizace:

The research sample will consist of a set of adolescents aged 14-18 years (assuming 200). Participant will be addressed through schools they attend, and whose administration will agree with the implementation of the proposed research. Participation in research is always voluntary and based on informed parental consent. Each participant will receive individual feedback on their measurements. PA will be monitored by pedometers (7 daily measurements) Yamax SW700 and simultaneously by accelerometers (4 daily measurements) ActiTrainer. More information about the PA of the participants will be collected through the online system Indares.com. Body composition of the participants will be diagnosed using bioelectrical impedance analysis method (InBody 720). Variability of heart rate (resting activity of the autonomic nervous system) will be measured by the microcomputer diagnostic system VarCor PF 7.
